01 Who we are

University Printing Press & Packaging LLC has been a commercial printing and packaging house since 1983, working from P.O.Box.: 3100, Industrial Area 12, Sharjah, U.A.E, and serving clients across the United Arab Emirates. Our services cover design and branding, offset and digital printing, stickers and labels, and custom packaging.

In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean University Printing Press & Packaging LLC. "You" means anyone whose personal information we hold — a visitor, an enquirer or a client.

02 Scope of this policy

This policy applies to:

  • Visitors to this website
  • Anyone who contacts us by telephone, WhatsApp, email or in person
  • Individual customers
  • Business and corporate clients
  • Suppliers and contractors we work with

It does not cover third-party websites, platforms or social accounts we link to. Those services operate under their own privacy policies, which you should review separately before sharing anything with them.

03 Information we collect from you

Most of what we hold is information you give us in the ordinary course of quoting for and producing a job.

We ask you directly for:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Company or trade-licence name
  • Telephone and WhatsApp number
  • Billing address, and the delivery address for the finished job
  • Artwork files, images, logos and any other design content you send us
  • Order details — stock, quantity, finish, dimensions and the date you need it
  • Payment details, which are handled by our bank or payment provider and are not stored by us
  • Correspondence with our sales, design and production team

We also collect automatically when you use this website:

  • Approximate location — city and country
  • IP address
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • Browser and device type
  • Cookie and analytics identifiers

04 How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Prepare quotations and process your order
  • Produce your design, printing and packaging work
  • Keep you updated on artwork, proofs, production and delivery
  • Deliver finished goods to the address you give us
  • Issue invoices and meet our accounting obligations
  • Meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations in the U.A.E.
  • Handle claims, reprints and disputes
  • Improve this website and the service we give you

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling to make any decision that affects you.

05 Artwork and confidentiality

Artwork, dielines, product information and pricing you share with us are treated as confidential and are used only to produce your job. We do not sell your artwork, licence it, or reuse it for another client.

We keep production files on record so that a repeat order matches the first run exactly. If you would prefer your files removed once a job is complete, tell us in writing and we will do so.

We may photograph work we have produced for our portfolio, this website or our social accounts. If you would rather your job was not shown, let us know before production and we will keep it off.

06 Sharing your information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only where it is needed to deliver your order, or where the law requires it:

  • Delivery and logistics partners — name, address and telephone number, so the job reaches you
  • Banks and payment providers, to take and reconcile payment
  • Specialist suppliers, where a material or finish has to be sourced outside our building — shared on a need-to-know basis only
  • IT, hosting, email and analytics providers who run the systems we use
  • Our accountants and legal advisers
  • Government, tax and regulatory authorities, where we are required to disclose

07 Data security

We apply technical and organisational measures to protect what we hold. Access to customer records and artwork is limited to the staff who need it, our systems are password-protected, and communication with our providers is encrypted in transit.

No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent to us over the internet is safe from interception. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will act on it and notify you where the law requires us to.

08 How long we keep it

We keep order records, invoices and correspondence for as long as we need them to service your account, and thereafter for the period U.A.E. accounting and tax law requires. Artwork and production files are kept so that repeat orders can be matched to the original. Enquiries that do not become orders are cleared periodically.

09 International transfers

Your information is held in the U.A.E. wherever possible. Some of the providers we rely on — email, hosting and analytics — may process data outside the U.A.E. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure your information remains protected to a standard consistent with U.A.E. data protection law.

10 Legal basis for processing

We process personal information where:

  • It is necessary to perform a contract with you, or to take steps before entering into one
  • We have a legitimate business interest — running the press, improving our service, and preventing fraud
  • We are under a legal or regulatory obligation
  • You have given consent, for marketing messages for example, which you may withdraw at any time

11 Your rights

Subject to U.A.E. law, you may:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask for a copy of it
  • Ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we process it
  • Withdraw consent where our processing relies on it

12 Cookies and tracking

This website uses cookies to keep the site working, to remember your preferences, and to understand how visitors move through the pages so that we can improve them.

13 Children

Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will remove it.
